I hope that you are enjoying the Christmas season. We have come a long way from a year ago when our Advent worship services were strictly done through live streaming.
Just as Christmas is about the incarnation, God coming to earth in the person of Jesus, it is nice that we can gather in-person for worship and have fellowship with one another. Being with everyone each Sunday morning and on Wednesdays for Bible Study is special.
There have been many comments about how beautiful the sanctuary looks all decorated for Christmas. Thank you to all who helped in this effort. Some have also expressed appreciation for the daily Advent devotions written by members of our congregation and using them for the Advent wreath on Sunday mornings.
The Christmas Eve service on December 24 at 7:00 pm will be especially meaningful as we celebrate communion together, have special music, sing carols, and light candles as we sing Silent night. This will be a wonderful time of worship for the whole family.
Christmas is also a time to give thanks to God for His love and the gift of His son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is wonderful to see how God is at work in the life of our church and be able to celebrate the season together. Thank you for your faithful attendance and the numerous ways you give of yourself throughout the year!
As you prepare for Christmas, wherever you go and whomever you are with, I pray that you and your family experience the peace, comfort, and joy this season brings us. Come and worship, come and worship, worship Christ the newborn King.
